What happens during the appraisal inspection?

How is the value of my property determined?

What is a certified appraiser?
A certified appraiser has completed extensive training, passed licensing exams, and met state and federal qualifications to perform real estate appraisals for a wide range of purposes.

Can I use a previous appraisal?
Typically, appraisals are only valid for a short period (3–6 months). A new appraisal may be required if market conditions have changed or for specific uses like legal or lending purposes.

Do I get a copy of the appraisal?
Yes—if you are the client. If the appraisal was ordered by a lender, you’re entitled to a copy upon request.

How much does an appraisal cost?
Fees vary depending on the property's type, size, and complexity. Costs can range from $450-2500 depending on various factors.
